Most people are familiar with micro-ingredient feeding, but never think about the portion of their operation that is macro-ingredient feeding; that is, adding ingredients that form a significant percentage of the final product. This type of operation has often been left to a less accurate volumetric style of operation. This process can be made significantly more accurate through the use of gravimetric feeders with the capacity to meet large flow demands.
An example of this would be the production of whole wheat flour by utilizing a FEEDamatic 77 Series scale to automatically add the correct proportion of bran to flour, based on the real time flow rate provided by a 36 Series scale on the flour stream.
By utilizing the Finished Product Blending module of Comptrol�s MillView Yield Management System, you can automatically configure and schedule the required blend of materials to your finished product bins.
